Capita Education Systems - Improve sofware Translating a 'good idea' into
actual sales
Situation
Capita Education Systems has a programme of constantly devising new routes into the educational market.
In early 2006 members of the sales team suggested a potential new product, but were unsure as to how it ought to be carried forward.
Response
The consultant developed this new sales tool on Capita's behalf. The viability of this
e-concept was first demonstrated in the summer of 2006. Having shown its potential value the product team, led by the consultant, was then requested to 'engineer' the concept.
Market research was conducted, a sales vehicle developed in response to its findings, the product named 'Improve' and presentations of it to the senior management and sales teams were overseen.
Results
A sophisticated launch presentation plus support literature were produced for the annual British & Teaching Technology Exhibition (BETT) at Olympia in 2007.
Improve has a growing significance within Capita's overall sales efforts.
Value Added
A good sales idea was converted into a viable and valuable product within the Capita portfolio.
